It has been a true journey to take the education as a Connective Tissue Therapist at Bindevævs-Akademiet.
A journey that has taught me a lot about the alternative world, the body’s structure, the senses and intuition, and about myself. I have developed and become a better version of myself, where I dare to trust my judgment and feel what is the way forward for me. I have become a proud therapist who loves what I can do – feel tensions and help body and mind with relaxation.
The more I treat, the more I learn about the body, the mind and myself. I believe that development never stops.
I graduated as a connective tissue therapist with Katrine in January 2021. The education has opened my eyes to the magnificent connection in our body. Not only between muscles, bones and connective tissue but also between body and psyche. How we use the physical body as a storage place for thoughts and feelings and how this affects our posture. With Katrine, I have received a toolbox filled with tools to help my clients with pain and imbalances in the body. It has been a fantastic journey with a very competent therapist!
I have the great pleasure of training to become a connective tissue therapist at Bindevævs-Akademiet, where I am taught by Katrine Wennerwald.
I am already a zone therapist and have several shorter therapy educations on my CV. Thus, I have also had the pleasure of a wide range of different instructors. They have all contributed to my current competencies – but none at the level of Katrine Wennerwald.
Katrine W. has, in addition to an incredibly vast experience to share, an eminent ability to convey the content of the curriculum. She approaches the task with great joy, enthusiasm and drive. It is clear that she loves to teach, and that she truly wants to pass on her competencies for the joy and benefit of us students.
Not only I, but everyone in the group, absorbs the teaching. It is interesting, educational and fun. Katrine W. has great knowledge and experience, which the group enjoys learning from through theory, everyday cases as well as practical exercises – all seasoned with good storytelling and humor.
The theory is translated into practical exercises on the treatment table, and Katrine manages to accommodate everyone and in a calm and nice way correct any errors and misunderstandings. She manages to maintain a good and humorous tone – there is a lot of laughter, but also simultaneously preserve the seriousness and learning.
I don’t think I’m alone when I say that the month’s highlight is meeting for the next module and after three days leaving there filled with new knowledge and competencies, thanks to our skilled teacher.
